Happy to report that vol 2 of the gdd manga was just as good if not better than the first. The chapter where they create an aikatsu arcade game ripoff was amazing

ほうかごがかり/Houkagogakari
This had a strong start but the slow pacing and the way it drip-feeds you information really killed the momentum for me. I think this would be better suited for people who like atmospheric horror that slowly builds up over time. Kind of hoping for an anime adaptation bc there’s a few plot points I’m still interested in, but not enough to keep reading the series

I was expecting something more technical a la nareru SE, but this book focused more on the human side of things
Which is fine, I enjoyed it, but I find nareru the more exciting of the two - it’s able to capture a certain kind of work-related stress I haven’t found in any other LN series…

隣のゴリラに恋してる
Checked out the sample for 隣のゴリラに恋してる, which is about a guy who is cursed to see people as various animals… but all the illustrations are of the people in their human forms. I expected to see a gorilla wearing a sailor uniform

彼女を奪ったイケメン美少女がなぜか俺まで狙ってくる
Unfortunately this was not a book about a hot boyish woman on a quest to create a bisexual harem, like the title would suggest

IDOL×IDOL STORY!
It took a while to get started but by vol 3 I was hooked. So far I’m most interested in Karin, Suzu and Tsumugi but we’ll see how things progress
