I've always wondered where the VNDB girl was from, so I decided to give this game a try and... I actually enjoyed it? All the heroines were cute and the mysteries of the angel & the incident 5 years ago were engaging. Plus it inspired me to pick up my pen and draw, so that's how you know a work is good...

The version on DLsite is the ASDVD version with extra events and endings, so I'd definitely recommend that one. It basically doubles the length of the game, which was already pretty short to begin with. However... I wasn't able to get it to work on Windows 11. When you try to start the game it prompts you to enter the main character's name, but even if you leave it as the default クラビス you'll get an error message saying you have to enter it as full-width characters. I tried messing with a bunch of settings in Windows but couldn't figure out a way to get past this message no matter what I did, so I ended up installing it on a virtual machine running Japanese Windows XP and playing it there.

If I had to list a complaint, it would be that the "gameplay" gets really repetitive and boring after a while - most of the game becomes a walking simulator as you run around trying to trigger events and working at part-time jobs to get the heroines' affection up. Once you've maxed out the affection of your chosen heroine, you'll probably spend the rest of the game sleeping 3 times a day to make the time pass. You can also only save on the map, which becomes annoying when trying to view the different endings. There's also a rhythm game part, but after you've seen one ending it unlocks an auto-play option.

In my opinion, recommended route order would be Saaria > Fia > Arte > Lasty > True Lasty. Saaria, Lasty and True Lasty have two endings each, and you have to see the normal ending before you can watch the good ending. Also, if you're playing the ASDVD version, once you've seen all 8 endings go back and play Lasty's normal ending to get a new mini-ending. You'll also get a secret password that can be used here to unlock a new song in the free play mode.

One more tip: the + sign on the rhythm game means press the semicolon (;). Many notes were missed before I figured this out...
